Ice causes train derailment in Fairgrove

February 25, 2014 | MINBC | FAIRGROVE — A train has derailed in Tuscola County in the town of Fairgrove, blocking Vassar Road just south of Fairgrove Road right next to Star of the West Milling Company.

The engine of the train, operated by Huron & Eastern Saginaw Valley Railroad, jumped the tracks when it hit a patch of ice, according to the Akron Police Department.
