Troubled Macedonia railroad bridge reopens after another closure Sunday

October 27, 2014 | | Macedonia city workers reopened Ledge Road on Monday afternoon after a weekend accident forced its closure.

The road has been closed off and on over the past 16 months because of falling rocks from the Norfolk Southern Railroad bridge.

The fence was pulled from the north-side bridge wall Sunday morning when a 63-year-old Ledge Road resident hit it while trying to avoid a vehicle that was traveling left of center.
