“Sensitive Security Information” on oil train cargoes will not be released


May 29, 2015 | Seattle PI | The jargon of government, acronyms and initials, and defenses of a department “laser focused” on safety filled a lengthy letter from U.S. Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx to Sen. Maria Cantwell, D-Wash., this week.

Its bottom line:  The USDOT is giving Cantwell and Senate colleagues about half of the disclosure they want on cargoes being carried by oil trains from the Bakken field in North Dakota to refineries across the country.
