Declining rig count leveling off

May 30, 2015 | Bismark Tribune| State and industry officials believe North Dakota’s decline in rigs operating in the state is nearing its low point barring any additional surprises or regulatory issues that could pinch the industry further.

The state’s active drilling rig count Wednesday dropped to 80. This is down from 83 last week, a statewide count of 108 in March and 188 a year ago.
