Canada charges 6 in 2013 oil train disaster


June 23, 2015 | The Hill | Canadian federal officials hit six railroad employees with criminal charges stemming from a July 2013 oil train disaster in Quebec that killed 47.

Transport Canada said the employees were responsible for the train not having its brake properly engaged on the night of the derailment and explosion in Lac-Megantic, the Globe and Mail reported Monday.
